Speaking to the news , the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof Nilofer Khan, stated that they have raised the issue of the CUET examination center with the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Higher Education Department.

“We have discussed the matter with the NTA, Higher Education Department, and the JK administration. It is likely to be resolved by Friday, as both parties have responded positively,” said Khan.

She further mentioned that the Higher Education Department has informed them that they have already taken up the matter with the NTA, and it is expected to be resolved by Friday.

Notably, many candidates preparing for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) have expressed their dissatisfaction with the NTA for assigning examination centers outside of Jammu and Kashmir, contrary to their preferences.

The candidates stated that their preferred examination centers were changed from locations in Jammu and Kashmir to other states by the NTA, the agency responsible for conducting the exam.

Previously, a group of NET aspirants from the previous session also claimed that they were unable to take the entrance test due to the examination conducting agency’s decision to change their preferred venues from Jammu and Kashmir to other states.
