The public authority choice to move the scholastic meeting to March-2023 from the ongoing scholarly year is very much arranged, a high ranking representative said.

“It has been chosen at the public authority level to move the meeting to March-2023 from the ongoing scholarly year. A couple of things are being worked out after that official request will be given by the division,” the authority told Greater Kashmir.
According to the public authority choice, the yearly 2022 Board tests for the class tenth to twelfth will be held in March 2023 rather than November-December of 2022.
“Indeed it has been chosen. There ought to be no uncertainty in it,” the authority said.
As currently detailed, the J&K Chief Secretary (CS) Dr Arun Kumar Mehta in April this year said the Jammu and Kashmir will completely execute the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) from the ongoing scholarly meeting and will likewise move to a uniform scholastic schedule which thus will be synchronized to the public scholarly schedule.
The Higher Education Department (HED) currently moved the scholarly meeting to July from the ongoing year in accordance with the National Academic Calendar.
“Same will be trailed by the School Education Department (SED) so the scholarly schedule will be in a state of harmony with HED and public scholastic schedule,” he said.
Remarkably, a general council comprised by the public authority was entrusted to recommend the available resources on the most proficient method to go about it. The advisory group has proposed the functional instrument for moving the scholastic meeting to March from the ongoing meeting.
As already reported by this newspaper, the advisor to J&K Lieutenant Governor Rajiv Rai Batnagar said it was a good idea to have one academic calendar which matches with the Higher Education Department and all other professional colleges as well.
The official said there were issues related to the snow bound areas. “But the department has worked out a plan to smoothly implement the March session in snow bound areas,” he said.
It has been learnt that the government will hold the annual exam in plan areas in mid-March while the exam in snow bound areas will be held in mid-April.

A top official said the incumbent Principal Secretary SED, Bishwajit Kumar Singh who has been promoted as Additional Director General of Forests (ADGF), will leave the office after a month.
“Till that time he will finish the unfinished tasks started by the department. Shifting to the March session is one such task to be done before he leaves for New Delhi to join the new posting,” the official said.
